Goochland Co, VA (April 4, 2025) – A two-car injury crash occurred Friday evening on eastbound Interstate 64 at mile marker 148.0, approximately 0.6 miles west of the VA-605 Exit (Exit 148). The collision was reported at around 8:00 p.m. and prompted an emergency response from local agencies.
According to initial reports, two vehicles were involved in the crash, which caused significant traffic disruption on the eastbound lanes of I-64. Fire and rescue crews from Goochland County arrived at the scene shortly after the crash and assisted with patient care and vehicle clearance. At least one individual sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. The current condition of the injured party has not been disclosed.
Virginia State Police handled traffic control and began a formal investigation into the cause of the crash. One or more lanes may have experienced temporary closures as authorities worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the roadway.
